SNM-1107, Docket 70-1151 The Westinghouse Electric Corporation hereby request an amendment to License SNM-1107, Docket 70-1151 in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 70.14 (a), to grant relief from the provision of 10 CFR 73 (i) (2) in order to accu-mutate contaminated low-enriched scrap with an uncertainty of greater than +
10% for a period not to exceed August 1981.
t We are presently processing contaminated waste and have been since November 1979. We have experienced problems with the dissolution of certain types of
.l waste materials and have developed a teaching system for this material. The system is scheduled to be on line by the latter part of 1980. This will add an additional phase to the recovery process and correct certain problems which have occurred in the past.
The provisions associated with the accountability of the stored contaminated scrap are contained in the attachment to this request.
