SUBSTANDARD ITEMS LISTINGS We have' reviewed the substandard items listings as requested by your '10te dated September 12, 1989.
We have no additional characteristics to add to your L,
listing entitled, " Characteristics of Products Which May Make Them Vulnerable to Misrepresentation Fraudulent Practices, and/or Counterfeiting."
The second list, " Components / Products Which May Be Vulnerable," contains a footnote inferring that items already identified in Bulletins and Information l
Notices are not listed; however, some Bulletin and Information Notice issues
'are included.
We suggest that either all references to pertinent Bulletins, Information Notices and Generic Letters be stated in the footnote, or add the items'to the list.
The second option would be preferred since the list l'
would be. complete and easier to use. This would eliminate any confusion as to whether or not a particular item belongs on the list.
