ORDETI On April 23, 1981, Intervenor Do'erty, in effect, filed a motion for leave to submit late-filed Contention 56. Applicaat and Staff, respec-tively, on May 8 and May 31, 1981, filed responses in opposition.
During the course of the hearing, on June 11, 1981, after reviewing previous discussions and a Board direction, the Board ruled that it need not and would not decide whether Mr. Doherty had met the requirements of 10 C.F.R. 2.714(a)(1)(i)-(v). The Board proceeded to deny admission of Mr. Doherty's proposed Contention 56 and to deny his untimely or&1 request to amer.d his proposed contention.
