Ftr. John Ahearne RE: Citi: ens Advisory Pane Three !!ile Island Unit 2 Dear Commissioners; Inreference to the Citi: ens Advisory Panel on the Decontamination and Clean-up oc U!I unit 2, I would like to make a formal request that the Commission fill the vacancies that remain on the Par.el as soon as possible.

In light of the fact that !!s. Jean Royer Kohr is gravely ill with cancer, I feel it tremendously important that her work and effort on this Panel be continued. I have spoken to her on this matter and her sentiments paallei mine.

I am asking that the Commission place my name for consideration as replacement for !!s. Kohr as _a citizen representative from the local area; and as one who has worked closely with Ms. Kohr, !!ayor r thur Morris, the Susquehanna Valley Alliance (a local citizen group), Dr. Bernard Snyder, Mr. Robert Arnold and many others on this important issue. I think it vitally important that the NRC, via its Citizen Panel, hear the concerns and recommendations, not only from the elected officials and trained personnel on the Panel, but also from the citi: ens of this area. I feel confident that I can convey these concerns within the format of the Panel.
