UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-364 ALABAMA POWER COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. NPF-8 The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. I to Facility Operating License No. NPF-8. This amendment was issued to Alabama Power Company for the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Unit 2 to correct typographical errors in the Technical Specifications and to allow a 24 second delay in energizing one emergency bus'for one diesel generator.
The Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant is located in Houston County, Alabama.
This amendment was effective on May 6,1981.
The application for the amendment complies with the stanoards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's requirements. The Comission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I.. which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards considerations.
The Commission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR Section 51.5(d)(4) an Environmental Impact Statement, or Negative Declaration and Environmental Impact Appraisal need not be pr epared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
