Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (TMI-1)

Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Scram Setpoints This letter is in response to your letter of January 14, 1981, concerning the possible non-conservatism of the scram setpoints for certain transient as compared to those assumed in the safety analysis. Our previous response of April 23,1981, (LlL 098) stated an investigation into this problem was in progress and the results would be c,vailable by June 12, 1981. The in-vestigation has not been completed, therefore, we are requesting an extension to submit the results by August 31, 1981.

Since TMI-l will be in a shutdown condition during the interim period, the deferral of these ret. Its does not constitute a safety issue.
