l Reference novation agreement dated April 1,1979 between Teknekron, Inc.
and Teknekron Research, Inc.
Whereas, Teknekron, Inc.,1483 Chain Bridge Road, McLean, VA 22101 entered into subject contract with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission on August 9,1979 for Volume Reduction Techniques in Low Level Radioactive
_1 Waste Management; and, 1
Whereas, an agreement between Teknekron, Inc. and Teknekron Research, Inc.
was entered into on November 1,1979 which recognized Teknekron Research, Inc.
as a successor in interest to subject contract effective April 1,1979; and, j
Whereas, the State of California certified the articles of incorporation of Teknekron Research, Inc. on March 8,1979; and, f...~....-.._

PAGE 2 0F 2 Whereas, the Contracting Officer, acting in her capacity as an agent of the Govermnent, recognized Teknekron Research, Inc. as the successor in interest to subject contract through execution of the novation agreement on March 4,1981; Now therefore, the parties do hereby mutually agree that:
Teknekron Research, Inc. has assumed all obligations and liabilities of and all claims and demands against Teknekron, Inc., in all respects as if Teknekron Research, Inc. were the original party to the contract, provided, however, that Teknekron Research, Inc. shall not be entitled to reimbursement for work performed under said contract prior to the effective date of the agreement.
Teknekron, Inc. waives all rights under the contract as against the Government.
Effective April 1,1979 Teknekron Research, Inc. assumes, agrees to be bound by, and undertakes to perform each and every of the terms, covenents, and conditions contained in subject contract.
Pursuant to the foregoing, subject contract is amended as follows:
1.
The name of the contractor is changed to read, "Teknekron Research, Inc."
wherever it may be cited therein as "Teknekron, Inc.".
2.
The contractor's address is changed from "1483 Chain Bridge Road, McLean, VA 22101" to "2118 Milvia Street, Berkeley, California, 94704".
All other terms and conditions remain the same.
