I.E.Bulletin 81-01 Due to the press of licensing and related activities associated with the start-up of Farley Unit 2, Alabama Power Company has been unable to complete its formal response to I.E.Bulletin 81-01.
Submittal of this response is currently scheduled for April 15, 1981.
Alabama Power Company has, however, completed physical inspection of all safety-related mechanical snubbers in Farley Unit 1 and replaced or repaired any defective snubbers.
In Farley Unit 2, the physical inspection of all inaccessible safety-related mechanical snuPars has been completed and all defective snubbers replaced or repaired.
Inspection of all remaining safety-related mechanical snubbers in Farley Unit 2 will be completed prior to Alabama Power Company's formal response to I.E.Bulletin 81-01 on April 15, 1981.
The results of these last inspections will be included in the April 15 response.
It should be noted that neither Farley Unit 1 or 2 have any INC snubbers and the formal response will address bulletin action items 3 and 4 only.
