Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
rn March 4,1981, Mr. Virgil Brownlee of the NRC Region II Office was notified of a significant deficiency involving' the Reactor Building Spray System's sodium C
hydroxide tank vacuum relief valves. These valves were not procured as active vaives nor were they procured for outdoor service. At this time, South Carolina Elecnic & Gas Company has not completed its review of the problem. However, we are continuing with our review and expect to submit a finct report by April 30, 1981.
