Dear Mr. Grier:

During the most recent review of our procedures and calculations used for the response to the subject bulletin, it was found that an assumption con-cerning the distribution of inertial loads could reduce the 2.aservatism pre-viously implied.

Utilizing this approach and rechecking the calculations, it was found that in all cases the reevaluation criteria are satisfied. All walls remain acceptable with stresses slightly higher than previously reported.

Attachments B, " Wall Summary," D, " Reevaluation Criteria," E, "Commen-tary on Reevaluation," and F, "Results of Reevaluation," previously submitted to you, are being revised to reflect results of the calculations which are being redone on a number of the walls. These attachments will be resubmitted by April 1, 1981.

Very t y you
