SUBJECT:
FINDINGS RELATED TO THE PROPOSED IMPORT OF HEU FROM FRANCE iSNM81003 Union Carbide Corporation submitted an application dated February 10,1931 for the export and subsequent reimport of 10.8 kilograms of uranium enriched to 93.15% U-235.
The imported material will be in the form of fabricated fuel elements for the Union Carbide Sterling Forest Reactor.
This proposed import is essentially the same as previously approved imports for this purpose; for example, ISNM78009 and I3NM80008, and represents no material change in circumstances from conditions and findings at the time of the issuance of the previous licenses.
It is reconmended that this license be issued.
