f. Interfaces This position interfaces with all TMI departments, including Contractors, to enforce compliance with approved radiological control and work practices.

5.2.27 Radiological Controls Foreman

a. Function This position reports to the Radiological Field Operations Manager on assigned areas of responsibility to implement and enforce the Radiation Protection Program.
b. Responsibility This position is responsible for the implementation of the Radiation Protection Program by the Radiation Control Techni-cians. This includes ensuring that all procedures involving Radiolgical Surveys, Radioactive Material Control and Radiation Exposure Control and Assessment are fully implemented. This position is also responsible to review the practices of other personnel working within restricted areas to provide additional assurance that all personnel are performing work in accordance with good radiological practices.
c. Authority This position has the authority to direct the activities of the Radiolgical Controls Technicians in the performance of their duties as well as to determine the radiologica.' control measures to be included in all work involving exposure of personnel to radiation or radioactive material. This position has the authority to stop any work being performed which is not in accordance with good radiological work practices,
d. Minimum Qualifications Each Radiological Controls Foreman shall be qualified to ANSI 18.1 - 1971 paragraph 4.3.2, or be formally qualified through an NRC approved TMI-l Radiological Control training program.

5.2.28 Radiological Controls Technicians

a. Function Under the direction of a Foreman, Radiological Controls Technicians support and enforce the implementation of the Radiological Control Program to insure that all procedures involving radiological surveys, radidactive material control, and radiation exposure control and assessment are fully ob-served and, that work being performed within restricted areas is in accordance with good radiological practices,
b. Responsibility The Radiological Controls Technicians are responsible for the accomplishment of tasks related to the radiological support of plant operations, maintenance, and construction activities.

Additionally, the Technicians are responsible to functionally enforce the field use of correct radiological control work p ractices.

c. Authority Under the direction of a Foreman, the Technicians assure that radiological control measures are included in all work activities involving exposure of personnel to radiation. or radioactive material. This position has the authority to stop any work which is not being performed in accordance with good radiological practices.
d. Minimum Qualifications Each Radiological Controls Technician shall meet or exceed the qualifications of ANSI 18.1-1971, paragraph 4.5.2 of be formally qualified through an NRC approved TMI-l Radiation Controls training program. All Radiological Controls Technicians will be qualified through training and examination in each area or specific

. task related to their radiological controls functions prior to their performance of those tasks.

e. Interfaces The position interfaces with every TMI-l department and cotitractor organization which has need to enter the restricted area of the unit to ensure the enforcement of approved radiological-work. practices and procedures.
