Dear Mr. Smith:
I strongly oppose the licensing of TMI-1 for restart.
The perfomance of Metropolitan Edison throughout the history of the accident at TMI-2 is evidence they are incapable of operating a nuclear power plant.
The citizens of the TMI area should not tolerate anymore experimentation for the nuclear industry.
If the NRC and others do not have knowledge as to the
~
control of this devastating source of energy, and I believe all the evidence to date points to the fact that they do not, a license should not be granted.
The safety of the people - not politics - should govern the future of nuclear power.
I'm sure you are aware of the concern of the citizehs:
in the TMI area and will deny the license for restatt of TMI-l and accelerate the safe and cc=plete clean-up of TMI-2.
Yours truly, m
