DOCKET NOS. 50-266 AND 50-301 RESPONSE TO BULLETIN 81-01 SURVEILLANCE OF MECHANICAL SNUSBERS P0Ii1T BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 Your letter dated January 27, 1931, forwarded IE Bulletin No. 81-01 for our action. This bulletin discussed rece,1 failures of techanical snubbers and directed licensees to conduct cert 'in examinations and testing of mechanical snubbers installed on safety-related systems. There are no rechanical snubbers installed at the Point Beach Nuclear Plant. All safety relateo shock suppressors or snubbers installed at Point Beach are hydraulic units.
Inspection and maintenance of these units is conducted in accordance with Plant Technical Specification 15.4.13.
Accordingly we are submitting this negative response to IE Bulletin 81-01. Approximately four man-hours were required to review this bulletin and prepare this negative report.
