Dear Mr. reppler:

In Toledo Edison's previous response of June 30, 1980 (Serial No. 1-146),
we addressed our schedule for completing the follow-on analytical work for normally inac'cessible safety related piping at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit I related to IE Bulletin 79-14. We had estimated the analytical work to be completed by Februs.ry 1,1981 and a report on the results to be issued about March 1, 1981.
In out latest review of this effort we now project the analytical work will be completed by April 1, 1981 and a report issued in May 1981.
This revised engineering schedule however, will have no impact on our schedule for completing these modifications presented in our December 12,
'.981 letter (Serial No.1-177). These modifications are still scheduled for completion during the unit's next refueling outage.
