The restart of Three Mile Island Unit #1 i for the people fo this area and should be accomplished as soon as possible.
This unit had an exceptional record since it was first put on line, and continued shut-down of it contributes direct 1t to the high price of energy in this area due to replacement power costs.
The inability of GPU to restore this unit to service also endangers the financial stability of that Corporation, and has cost its stockholders millions in dividends lost and in reduced value of the stock.
l BANKRUPTCY IS NOT TEE ANSWER. Only by restoring GPU to fin-ancial health can these problems be sloved.
I urge you to facilitate the restart of TMI-1 AS SOON AS i-POSSIBLE.
