. Tho Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce would like ge that the NRC and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania assume the much needed leadership to resolve the problem of TMI.

It is h

imperative that you make the necessary decisions to expedite the clean up of this nuclear accident.

Our Chamber of Commerce believes that emotions have hindered the p: cess and that the individuals entrusted with the responsibilities of protecting the health and safety of the citizens be permitted to carry out their functions.

It is also necessary we believe'to take this' problem out of the political arena and permit the knowledgeable individuals to procee'd with clean up operation.

People mention the psychological impact but they must realize that t.ne problem exists and it is time to resolve that problem.

Consumers realize what it 1* costing them but do they realize that the Commercial and Industrial businesses a,re paying the same increases.

As an exar'nle, cons 2. der the month of January when commercial businesses paid $255,926 and industrial businesses paid $319,825 for replacement power.

The NRC and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania a.

start making decisions necessary to resolve the problem at.TMI.

o.

The politicians start trusting the knowledgeable individuals on this subject and curtail rhetoric that incites people rather than leading individuals to a rational decision.

The clonn un process should proceed with the c.

governmental agencies responsible for the process being given the authority to proceed and to ensure the health and safety regulations are met.

Our Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce believes the clean up process snould proceed as quickly.as possible and that the citizens should have respect and confidence in those individuals making
