Dear Mr. Keppler:
Commonwealth Edison Company has reviewed the subject bulletin and has determined that no International Nuclear Safeguarcs Corporation (INC) mechanical snubbers have been installed or are intended to be installed on safety-related systems on Dresden Units 2 or 3, Quad Cities Units 1 or 2, or Zion Units 1 or 2.
Bulletin items 1 and 2, therefore, do not apply to these units.
Since Dresden Unit 1 does not contain any mechanical snubbers on safety-related systems, the entire bulletin does not apply to that unit.
We will respond to the remaining items on the schedule required by the bulletin.
To the best of my knowledge ano belief the statements contained herein are true and correct.
In some respects these statements are not based on my personal knowledge but upon information furnished by other Commonwealth Edison employees.
Such information has been reviewed in accordance with Company practice and I believe it to be reliable, p1.0
