50-260 In a letter dated January 9, 1981, from T. A. Ippolito to H. C. Parris, we received orders to install an Automatic Du=p Scram System on all three units at Browns Ferry by April 9,1981. Browns Ferry units 1 and 2 have outages scheduled to begin in mid-April 1981.
We, therefore, request that we be allowed to make the required modifications on units 1 and 2 on the following schedule.
Unit 1 - Before startup following outage currently scheduled to begin on April 10, 1981.
Unit 2 - Before startup following outage currently scheduled to begin on April 17, 1981.
Please inform us at your earliest convenience of your position regsrding the above stated schedule. If you agree with our request, it is our understanding that you will revise the license acendments in the January 9,1981, orders for units 1 and 2.
This nas been discussed with T. A. Ippolito of your staff. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
