Dear Mr. DeLaBarre:
Enclosed is an application received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), dated December 02, 2019, from ISOFLEX Radioactive, LLC, requesting to amendment No. 01 to its export license PXB224.00-R to export Category 2 quantities of lridium-192, Selenium-75 and Ytterbium-169 to India. The sealed sources will be used for industrial radiography.
The purpose of the amendment is to add 39 additional Ultimate Consignees and one Intermediate Foreign Consignee.
Since India is on the restricted destinations list (10 CFR Part 110.29), before taking action on this new request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
