Plant Status The Waterford plant is 85% complete.
Fuel loading is scheduled for October, 1982, 2.
Environmental Review The DES was sent to the printer on May 1, and will be distributed on May 8.
The EPA Federal Register Notice will appear oli May 15, and the public comment period will end on June 29.

Safety Review The scheduled publication date for the Safety Evaluation Report is May 29, 1981.
The date designated for last technical input was May 8, 1981. One week extensions to May 15, 1981 have been granted to RSB, PSB, and CSB. The ETSB deadline has been extended to May 12, 1981.
I In order to avoid ACRS rejection of this SER, I suggest that we postpone its issuance until June
.4, and use the intervening time to close out open items. This extra time is needed because new issues are still being raised by reviewers. The applicant believes he can address many of these issues by May 15.

2-As of May 10, I have not rec '"-" " sections-of the SER, (including 37 TMI sections).
I have attacncd c list of SEP, sections not received as of May 10.
Of the 157 sections I have received, there are a total of 73 open items.
I am aware of at least 15 additionai open items in the reactor systems area. The applicant is working on these issues and w;!1 provide responses to one-third of these by May 16 ano another one-third by June 1.
We wiii ask reviewers to incorporate into the SER the information we receive prior to May 18, and we will use tne intonnation we receive by June 1 to cloac open items for the ACRS meetino.
I have attached a list of approximately twenty open items which will probably remain open after the ACRS meeting.
