Enclosed please find a May 8,1981 :etter from Carpenter Technology Corporation requesting an amendment to export license XCOM0035 to increase the quantity of equipment authorized for export for use in the Atucha II Nuclear Power R Carpenter requests authorization t:The ad:itional tubing will be installed in the reactor tubing valued at $400,000.

Before taking action on this licen:e amendment, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established pro.edures as to whether the proposed export meets the applicable criteria in the Atec Energy Act as amended by the Nuclear Non-proliferation Act of 1978.
