Dear Mr. Denton:
Attached is Amendinnt No. 56 to the LaSalle County Station Units 1 and 2 Final Safety Analysis Report.
This Amendment transmits responses to three (3) second round questions, revised responses to ten (10) second round questions and voluntary text revisions addressing some of the open issues that have beeis discussed previously with your staff.
Recent discussions with your Staff have identified the need to modify the materials contained in Appendix L, Page L.31-12 and the responses to Questions 421.6 through 9.
These changes could not be made prior to the printing of Amendment 56 and will be the subject of text changes in the next amendment.
Therefore, the material on Page L.31-12 and the response to 421.6 through 9 are provided for information only until our review has been completed and any changes required have been made.
To the best of my knowledge and belief, the statements contained in the attached Amendment are true and correct.
In some respects these statements are not based on my personal knowledge but upon information furnished by other Commonwealth Eaison employees and consultants.
Such information has been reviewed in accordance with Company practice and I believe it to be reliable.
Three (3) signed originals and fifty-seven (57) copies of this amendment are submitted for your review and approval.
