Dear Mr. Tedesco:
Please find enclosed the General Reference Text for the Preservice Inspection Plan which has been prepared by our inservice inspection agency, Nuclear Energy Services, Inc. for Perry 1.
The General Reference Text defines the editions and subsections of Section XI of the ASME Code which will be used for the preservice examination activity. We are at present preparing the system doc"ments listed on Table 31 in sequence with the completion of construction of the systems referenced on the table. This will enable CEI to ascertain and document the "as-built" configuration of the systems and to prepare requests for relief as determined by actual conitoring of the field conditions, and not frem drawing reviews.

Tedesco Page 2-In view of the above approach, the complete ISI Preservice Program may not be complete by January lo, 1982; however, we believe this approach will result in fewer relief requests and fewer program inplementation problems. Upon request, we will supply any com-pleted system ISI program documents you may need prior to the entire program completion.
