Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by L. E. Ellershaw of this office on March 9-12,1981, at the Wolf Creek site, pertaining to Bechtel Power Corpora-tion's procurement activities and to the discussions of our findings with Kansas Gas and Electric and Daniel International Corporation management representatives at the conclusion of the inspection.
This inspection was made as a result of the information provided by Bechtel Power Corporation, pertaining to the procurement of bolting materials.
Areas examined during the inspection and our findings are discussed in the enclosed report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of an examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and obser-vations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, we found no instance where you failed to meet NRC requi rements.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the Commission's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter tugether witn the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the Commission's Public Cocument Room.
If this recort contains any information that you believe to be proprietary, it is necessary that you make a written application to this office within 25 days of the date of this letter to withhold such information from public di sclosure.
The application must include a full statement of the reasons why it is claimed that the information is proprietary.
The application should be prepared so that any proprietary information identified is contained in an enclosure to the application, since the application without the enclosure will also be placed in the Public Occument Room.
If we do not hear from you in this regard within the specifiec period, the report will be placed in the Public Document Room.
