- p WASHING TON, D. C. 20555 May 7,1981 Docket Nos. 50-387/388 Gerald R. Schultz, Esquire Coordinator, SEA Susquehanna Environmental Advocates P. O. Box 1560 IN RESPONSE REFER Wilkes-Barre, PA 18703 TO F01A-81-157
Dear Mr. Schultz:
This 'is in response to your letter dated April 20, 1981, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, copies of all concrete testing reports made on concrete poured for the containment buildings for Units I and II at Pennsylvania Power and Light's Susquehanna Steam Electric Station in the years 1974, 1975 and 1976.
The Nuclear Regulatory Comission (NRC) does not require licensees to submit concrete testing reports to NRC under the NRC quality assurance requirements (found at 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B).
NRC inspectors perform on-site reviews of such tests as part of their routine inspections.
Thus, the NRC has no reports submitted from the licensee.
For your information, it is possible that NRC Inspection and Enforcement (I&E) reports on inspections conducted at the Susquehanna plant during the years 1974,1975, and 1976, may contain comments on concrete poured during those years.
The I&E inspection reports are available for public inspection and copying in the Local Public Document Room (LPDR) which NRC established near the Susquehanna plant.
The LPDR is located at:
