Pursuant to your letters of September 25 and October 3 and according to the procedures in the Defense Intelligence Agency's Manual No. 59-1 (DIAH 59-1),
this uill confirm the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) mquest that no changes be made at this time to the current list of collateral and compart-mented intelligence publications that are being provided to us by your agency.
You should be aware that the NRC has recently signed, and sent to the Director ~
of DIA for his signature, a c=crandum of understanding that will establish a r: ore formal working relationship under which our two agencies will function.
&ce the a:emorandum has entered into force, we expect to conduct a cc plete review of the intelligence products that you provide and to update our list according to our needs.
As requested in your October 3 letter, I have enclosed for your use a copy of our recently updated " intelligence profile" that describes the intelligence areas of interest relevant to our mission.
This document has been approved by our Commission and will constitute the basis for our later selections or deletions.
