ut Applicant South Carolina Electric and Gas Company has filed an appeal under 10 CFR 2.714a from the Licensing Board's April 30, l
1981 order which, inter alia, granted the untimely petition of i
Fairfield United Action for leave to intervene in this operating license proceeding.
The appellate papers were accompanied by a motion requesting that an expedited schedule be established for the filing of responses.
Given the applicants' representations that prefiled testi-mony is due to be filed by May 28, 1981 and the evidentiary hear-ing is to commence on June 22, 1981, there is good reascn why the appeal should be considered and decided as soon as possible.
Ac-cordingly, the applicants' motion is granted.
