Dear Mr. Dromerick:
Per your request, the following information is provided concerning SNUPPS plans and schedules for the human factors review of the control room.
The estimates for when the construction of the control rooms will meet the criteria you provided (i.e. 85-90 percent complete, 80 percent system turn-over, lighting and HVAC operational, etc.) are:
Callaway Unit #1: April 1982 Wolf Creek
- December 1982 An initial assessment of the control room by our consultant (Essex Corp.)
is nearly complete. This review utilized the SNUPPS simulator, the control board full-scale model, the Callaway control room, and design documents. A report on tnis assessment and a sunmary of the corrective actions that will be taken can be provided to the NRC in June 1981. This submittal should support the NRC schedule for issuance of the Callaway SER. A follow-up re-port and final resolution of all review comments will be submitted in 1982 l
when construction is nearly complete.
