In accordance with your application dated March 19, 1981 and pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 70, Materials License No. SNM-1067 's hereby amended to authorize a reduction in the spacing between fuel assemblies in your storage facility.

This amendment is authorized subject to the following condition:

Condition 28. Notwithstanding the authorization to fabricate 4.1 percent 235U enriched fuel assemblies and the statements on page C-26 on fuel assembly storage, the array shall be limited to (1) an enrichment of 3.35 percent 235U,(2)a19x13arrayand(3)a center-to-center spacing of 28 inches between assemblies within a row.

Accordingly, the date of March 19, 1981 is added to Item 9 of your license. All other conditions of this license shall remain the same.

Condition 28 was discussed and agreed to by your Mr. G. Johnstone and Mr. Norman Ketzlach of my staff on March 27, 1981.

It should be noted in your application that two page changes requested are incorrect and should be modified as follows before issuance of Part 2 of your amendment request:

Reinsert Page D-28, Rev. 0, dated March 22, 1979.

2.

Revise Page D-29, Rev. 1 dated March 19, 1981 to Page D-30, Rev. 2 and assign an appropriate date.
