The following
'2 years were spent at the Feed Materials Production Center operati d for the AEC by National Lead of Ohio of Fernald, Ohio.
He was a shif t foreman in the scrap recovery plant which produced uranyl amminium phosphate and U308 He joined Nuclear Fuel Ser rices, Inc. at West Valley, N. Y.
in 1964 as a shift supervisor in tho Operations Department.
He assisted in the training of operating pe, sonnel and in the testing and startup of the West Valley plant.
He has qualified for and maintains a Senior Operator License at West Valley.
In 1969 he was promoted to the position of assistant operations manager in charge of chemi-cal processing.
In 1973 he joined the plant's technical service group as plant as-sistance supervisor.
His responsibilities included: 1) the prepara-tion of technical reports to fulfill the reporting requirements to various state and federal agencies > 2) the preparation of run plans;
- 3) the continuing review and preparation of standard operating pro-cedures; and 4) providing technical assistance to other plant units.
In June 1979, in addition to his duties as plant assistance super-visor, he was promoted to the position of Project Manager, assaming responsibility for the Waste Tank Farm emergency transfer line installation and the resurfacing of the NRC burial area projects.
He was promoted to Operations Manager in November 1980 and is re-sponsible for the operation and maintenance and surveillance of the operating systems, physical f acilities, and the site.
