Dear Mr. Speaker:
Enclosed is the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC's) report on FY 1980 contract activity per Section 11, Public Law.95-601, NRC's FY 1979 Authorization Act. This report is a single year follow-on to the reports submitted for FY 1978 and FY 1979.
Exhibit 1 identifies the number of commercial contracts executed or modified during FY 1980 and corresponding obligations for each program office, Program Technical Support (PTS), and Program Direction and Administration (PDA). These data are further wbdivided into type of contractual action, i.e., sole source, RFP competitive, or sealed bid.
Exhibit 2 contains the number of Department of Energy (D0E) task orders and FY 1980 obligations by program office, PTS, and PDA.
Exhibit 3 contains the number of interagency agreements, excluding DOE, executed or modified during FY 1980 and related obligations by program office, PTS, and PDA.
Exhibit 4 aggregates i.he number of tasks, including contracts, and shows total FY 1980 obligations for program support, administrative support, and equipment. Obligations include small purchase orders, job orders, and miscellaneous ini.eragency transfers for housekeeping.
Exhibits SA and SEilist the commercial contracts and other than DOE interagency agreements that had a change in obligation or schedule in FY 1980.
Exhibits SC and SD list the FY 1980 DOE Task Orders that had an unplanned change in obligation or schedule.
Exhibit 6 shows FY 1980 status of completed contracts in tems of close-out actions underway.
