At the Appropriations subcomittee meeting on February 19, 1981, you asked what private corporations I had worked for in the lat'. ten years.
In answering. I had in mind that you had said " profit-making" rather than " private" corporations:
a case of leaping to the answer before fully understanding the question, I am afraid.
My answer was none, but it should have been that I have worked for a non-profit New York corporation, Associated Universities, Inc. (AUI),
for part of the last ten years.
AUI operates the Brookhaven National Laboratory and the National Radio Astronomy Observatory for the Federal government.
I worked at Brookhaven, where I was most recently Chairman of the Applied Science Department.
I hope that this correction can be noted in the record of the hearing.
