Dear Mr. MacDonald:
This is to confirm our telephone conversation of February 17, 1981 in which I advised you that we would be taking cavity measurements of the NAC-1C cask Thursday, February 19, 1981 at the NFS facility in West Valley, New York.

An NRC witness to the measuring operations will be welcome if arrangements can be made on such short notice.
In any event, we will request NFS to witness the measurements and confirm that they were carried out in accordance with NAC-approved procedures.
We will also be perfaming the triannual thermal test and cavity measure-ments on the NAC-1D cask shortly. We have not yet formally arranged for a location or schedule for this work. When we have it scheduled, we will contact you and invite the NRC to witness the operations.
