SUBJECT:

Docket No. 71-9132 Model T-3 Shipping Cask Amendment

Dear Mr. MacDonald:

This submittal is in response to your request of December 19, 1980, for additional information on the subject package.

The letter requested we demonstrate that the contents remain intact within the containment vessel cavity.

The seven payloads referenced are contained within the Ident I,)

69 or FTR assemblies.

On the basis of special form tests conducted on the FTR assemblies and finite element analysis on the Ident 69, it has been shown that the contents are not able to assume a more reactive array.

Should you require additional data, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely yours, NUCLEAR P CKAGING, INC.
