e' President 36 Freeman Street Pawtucket, RI 02862 Gentlemen:

Thank you for your letter of February 11, 1981, in response to our letter of January 22, 1981. As a result of the discussion with your Mr. A. Madoian during a telephone call on February 20, 1981, we understand that:

1.

Steam pressure does have an effect upon the quality of the product during the continuous vulcanizing process. Therefore, the require-ment to control, calibrate and adjust the steam pressure recorder will be added to your Quality Assurance Standards and Procedures (commonly referred to as: S.O.P.) No.13.06, with a calibration fre-quency of every six months, effective February 16, 1981. Also, monitoring will occur every six months, effective August 8,1981.

This pertains to Item A of the Notice of Deviation.

2.

The Quality Assurance Office will review the Daily Dimensional Work-sheets each day, effective April 10, 1981. This pertains to Item C of the Notice of Deviation.

3.

The Quality Assurance Office will monitor compliance with Process Engi-neering Standards and Procedures No.1.01 every month, effective March

,16, 1981. This pertains to Item 0 of the Notice of Deviation.

We have no further questions at this time and will review your corrective actions and preventive measures during a future inspection.

Sincerely n \\
