Dear Mr. Denton:

This is in response to the January 14, 1981 NRC letter from R.

L. Tedesco to E. A.

Borgmann.

The following commitments satisfy Task Action Item I.G.1:

A special low power test that simulates loss of A.C.

power with decay heat will be performed at the Wm. H.

Zimmer Nuclear Power Station.

The detailed test

-procedures and safety analysis will be submitted for NRC review four weeks prior to licensing.

The criteria for this test will follow previously submitted guide-lines for initial test or startup test programs and will be performed within the time frames specified in Mr.

R.

L.

Tedesco's January 14, 1981-letter.

The results of this special test will be included as part of our Startup Test Report.

Our operations personnel have been and will continue to participate in the-preoperational testing effort; they will also participate in the startup program.
