Stone & Webster's (S&W) security contractor, Burns, received a bar.b

'reat_byaW telephone at 6:20 a.m. on March 2,1981.

The call was taped and the v'obe seeme to indicate a white, middle aged male according to the security manager en sTE.g The message was, "You are not going to move the vessel today. There is a bar.b down there." The vessel is not on site yet, but the shield wall that had tcppled over was scheduled to be lifted and moved on this date.

The area was roped off and a search conducted with negative results.

Lunch pails were searched. The operation was conducted on schedule.

Local investigation continues. S&W notified the FBI for statistical purposes.

On March 3,1981, two more bomb threat calls were received at the River Bend si te.

The first was received at 7:01 a.m. and the calling voice appeared to be that of a white male, 20 to 30 years of age, with a calm local voice.

The caller stated, "There is a bomb placed at the mat.

It is set to go off at 10 o' clock.

Get the men out of there or they will be hurt." This call came in en the Baton Rouge line.

The second call was reported to be, from what sounded like,a male adult with fast local soeech but nothing distinctive.

He stated that, "It is going to bicw up."

This call came in on the St. Francisville line.

Neither call was recorced because the recorcing cevice en the guarc phone is aisconnectec at 7:00 a.m.

A 3earen was being :enducted and management planned a Containment Suilding evacuation at 9:30 a.m. with the assistance of the Sheriff.

The CBI nas seen noti fied.

The site construction progress is currently reported at 13", complete.

There is no SNM on site.

This Preliminary Notification is issued for infomation only and no further action by I&E is anticipated.

Region IV, Arlington, Texas, received notifi-cation of this occurrence by telephone from the Security Officer at 7:30 a.m.
