Dear Mr. Grier:

The referenced (1) letter explained the reasons for the delay in l

our response to the subject IE Bulletin. We also agreed to provide a l

quarterly status report until this item is satisfactorily resolved.

1 General Electric Company, our NSSS Designer / Supplier, informed us on January 22, 1981 that they have issued instructions to their site personnel to survey approximately sixty Rosemount Transmitters for models with output codes "A" and "D".

Approximately thirty transmitters per unit have a potential for misapplication. The data will subsequently be analyzed by GE engineering for proper application of each transmitter.

Bechtel Power Corporation, our Architect / Engineer, has informed us their Balance of Plant design has one Rosemount Model 1151 transmitter and one Model 1152 transmitter in safety related applications. In neither case is there a misapplication of the instrument.

o Mr. Boye.n H. Grier As stated in the reference (1) letter our complete response to the subject bulletin will be transmitted as soon as the Limerick analysis is available from General Electric Company for the NSSS system. If this information is not available by April 30, 1981, we will submit another status report.

Si-cerely,
