Identification of Occurrence:
Improperly authorized change made to fire--
system.

. Conditions Prior to Occurrence: Steady state power operation.
64 Description of Occurrence: Minor modifications were made on October 2h, 1975 to the sprinkler system piping in the stockroom as part of the RDS project. The work was net performed as part of an approved work package for the RDS system.
7 Designation of Apparent Cause of Occurrence: Failure of administrative controls relating to reviav and approval of plant modifications.

Analysis of Occurrence: The two fire protection sprinkler lines in the present stockroom (future battery room for the reactor depressurizing sys-tem) were modified to include isolating valves in an adjacent room.
Since no piping size change or sprinkler head changes were made, this does not affect the analysis related to post-incident water supply capability.
9 Corrective Action: The Administrative Procedure Section 1 9 has been revised to include requirements referenced in A0-2h-75, Item 9(b), in our letter of November 12, 1975 10.
