l BOSTON EDISON COMPANY PILCRIM NUCLEAR POWER STATION Summary of Operations for September, 1980 On Sept. 1, 1980 the unit was placed on the grid at 0319 hrs, af ter completion of repairs to "B" train 4th point heater.

Reached 100% Rx. power at 1800 hrs. on Sept. 2. Reduced to 50% power at 0001 on Sept. 7 for main condenser backwash and returned to 100% at 0800 hrs.

Ibintained 100P. power until Sept. 13 when power was trimmed over low tides due to condenserd K. Reduced to 50% at 0001 on Sept. 14 for main condenser backwash and returned to 100% at 1330 hrs.

Reduced power to 50% on Sept. 21 at 0400 hrs. for backwash of main condenser and returned to 100% at 1531 hrs.

Reduced to 50% at 0001 on Sept. 27 for backwash of main condenser and cleaning o f "A" and "B" RBCCW heat exchangers. Held power at 60% during cleaning of "A" heat exchanger and increased to 86% on Sept. 28 at 0800 hrs. Continued slow increase under directicn of Rx. Engineer on Sept. 29 at 0912 hrs; reduced to 65% for control rod pattern adjustment. At 1214 hrs. started power increase and reached 100% at 0100 hrs. on Sept. 30. Started trimming power at 1400 hrs.
