This letter is forwarded to provide prompt notification of Reportable Occurrence R0-80-14/lP as required by the Millstone Unit 1 Technical Specifications.

n October 5,1980 at 1530 hours0.0177 days <br />0.425 hours <br />0.00253 weeks <br />5.82165e-4 months <br />, the Local Leak Rate Surveillance Testing Program identified that two Main Steam Isolation Va'lves could not meet the acceptable leakage criteria.

The plant had been shutdown previously for a refueling outage and refueling activities were in progress at the time of discovery.

Investigation of the cause of the failures and corrective action is in progress and will be included in the 14 day follow-up report.
