O PEACH 30TTOM ATOMIC IGi:R STATION NARRATIVE SUNY OF OPERATING EXPERIENCES SEPTEMBER. '980 UNIT 2 OPEPdTIONS On September 14, the Unit experienced a 30 megawatt reduction due to inaccuracies in the core flow instrumentation. On September 5, a load reduction was taken to adjust the control rod pattern. The i Unit returned to full power on September 8 via a preconditionirs ramp.

l The High Pressure Core Injection system was out of service from September 10 to September 11 to accommodate repairs to its turbine exhaust rupturo disc. The RCIC system was out of service on September 12 to accommodate replacement of the ther=al overloads for the RCIC turbine inboard steam supply valve. The "B" control rod drive pump was out of service from September 6 to September 17 due to a bearing failure.

UNIT 3 OPERATIONS On September 11 load was reduced to approvientely 800 megawatt to accommodato repair of the "B" condensate pump shaft sleovo and throttle bushing. T5 was also repa d and the Unit was returned to full po, . Jepte=ber 15 aeen September 25 and 30, two load reductions were taken to ir. A tigate condenser leaks.
