This responds to your August 7,1980 letter wherein you requested that the date for submittal of a revised fixed site safeguards physical protectien pian be extended from August 22, 1980 to September 21, 1980. We have de-rennined that deferring the date for submission of the revisea plan will not endanger life or property or the comon defense and security and is otherwise in the pubite interest. This deferral in submitting your plan does not extend the implementation date which remains March 20,1981 or 90 days after plan approval, whichever is later.
Accordingly, under the authority of the Comission to grant exemptions to certain requireirents of 10 CFR Part 73, as authorized by law and as pro-vided for in Section 73.5, you are hereby granted a specific exemption from the requiroment of Section 73.20(c)(1) as pertains to the submission of a revised fixed site safeguards physical protection plan by August 22. 1980 provided that such plan is submitted no later than Septecter 21, 1980.
