Response to IE Bulletin No. 80-20, Failures of Westinghouse Type W-2 Spring Return to Neutral Control Switches
Dear Sir:
Reference (b) revealed a potential malfunction of the subject control switches. As a. mult of our review, Maine Yankee has determined it does not use Westinghouse Type W-2 spring return to neutral control switches.
The following information is submitted in response to your request for estimates of manpower expended in the research and subsequent performance of actions associated with this bulletin:
Manpower Requirements Hours Bulletin Response 12 Manhours Corrective Actions Not Applicable It should be clearly understood that this informstien is not adequate to enable a value impact assessment. We believe a determination of the safety improvement, as a result of this bulletin, would be necessary before the staff could perform an accurate value impact assessment.
