ORDER DENYING MOTION TO COMPEL STAFF DETERMINATION The State of Illinois moved to compel the N.R.C. Staff to inform the Board of its determination whether, pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act, Staff will prepare and circulate an Environmental Impact Statement with respect to the proposed construction permit. amendment.
Staff has responded by indicating its expectation of determining whether an Environmental Impact Statement is required, by early October,1980, a time frame which the Board does not con-sider unreasonable.
