REGULATORT RESPONSE TO ALAB 152 On October 18,1973, Mr. Wi114== Kessler, M4 A1==d Project Manager for Consumers Power Company (CPC), called me. lHe stated that they are
' prepared.to respond to the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board's ruling 4
by:
(1) Presenting new organization charts based on the written infor-nation previously submitted to the board, and (2) Revising their Field Inspection Supplemental Manual. He proposed that the Regulatory staff meet with CPC and Bechtel on October 31, 1973 and review their proposal.
i He also said they have recently appointed Mr. Gilbert Keeley as Director of QA for all CPC projects and intend to take a stronger hand with their i
sub-contractors.

i a meeting on October 31, 1973.
l I have establinhad the following schedule for the review and resolution of this matter:
October 31 Heat with CPC and Bechtel.
2 November 7 By this date, RO, RS and TR are to submit to David Kartalia their evaluation of the CPC revisions in light of requirements IIIa, IIIb'and IIIc of ALAB 152.
November 7 By this date, CPC will submit, formally, the changes deemed acceptable in our Oct.ober-31 meeting.
