(Mussel), requires Censuners Power Cc=pany to deter =ine whether these species are present in the vicinity of the staticn (local enviren=ent) in either the sorree er receiving water body and to take appropriate action based on this deter =ination.
Consu=ers Power Co=pany centracted Ecological Analysts, Inc to survey both the Palisades and 31g Rock Point Plants 1ccal environments for the presence of Co rbic ula.
T/tilus are a salt water species and were therefore not included in this assess =ent.
No evidence of Corbicula vos observed in either of the plant sites. Reports pertaining to each plant are included in Attachments A and 3.

Presently, the Palisades Plant checks the outlet te=peratures of the Cc=ponent Cooling ~4ater (CC'4) and Service Water Heat Exchangers three ti=es daily. Also, the CC'4 heat exchanger is cleaned every cutage. Big Rock Point uses an auto-
=atic flushing syste= vhich automatically flushes the two sets of strainers once a day. If the strainers were blocked the flushing process vould be actuated via a pressure differential switch.
Since there have been no flow bloczage proble=s in the operating histories of both Big Rock Point and Palisades and since it has been confir:ed that Y
