/g This is to inform the Commission that a Notice of Violation and' N Imposition of Civil Penalties in the amount of Eight Thousand Dolfbu *I be issued on o about June 17, 1981, to Magnaflux Corporation. This action is based on alleged violations involving a radiation dose to a ra in excess of NRO requirements, failure' to conduct' radiation surveydiographer s of a radiography exposure device after each radiographic operation, failure to have installed a radiation monitoring system interlocked with the entrance to a permanent radiographic facility to warn of high radiation, and failure to caliibrate a radiation survey instrument at the required intervals. A news release has been prepared and will be issued about the time the licensee receives the Notice.

The States of Illinois and Indina will be notified.

It should be noted that the licensee has not been specifically informed of the enforcement action.

The schedule of issuance and notification is:

The licensee has 30 days from the date of the Notice in which to respond.
