(b) 12/1/80 letter from G F Owsley (Exxon) to J R Miller (NRC) concerning XN-hT-75-27(P), Supplement 3, " Exxon Nuclear Neutronics Design Methods for Pressurized 'Jacer Reactors," November 1980 and XN-hT-80-56(P), " Generic Mechanical, Ther=al Hydraulic and Neutronic Design for Exxon Nuclear TOPROD Reload Fuel Assemblies for Pres-surized Water Reactors," Neve=ber 1980.
In September 1981 we are planning :o reload Prairie Island Unit I with 40 TCPROD assemblies designed by Exxcn Nuclear Co. (ENC).
ENC has submitted in the referenced letters three tcpical reports concerning the TOPROD fuel:
XN-NF-79-56(P), XN-hT-75-27(P), and XN-NF-80-56(P). We recuest that you reference these three topical reports on Docket Numbers 282 and 306.
At this time, we fie.d no unreviewed safety questions with the use of TOPROD fuel. We plan to reload and resume operation for Unit 1 Cycle 7 under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.59.
